Hello, I am trying to measure the branch currents in the power grid of a layout for research purposes.
Specifically, I have used my testbench (.vcd) to perform the dynamic power estimation in Voltus and dump the .ptiavg file. However, it only documents the consumed current at the cell level. What I want to figure out is how the current is flowing from the supply source. The total current will be distributed to branches in the power grid which can be calculated using Kirchoff current law (KCL). Is there any feature in Voltus or Innovus to report such information?
Besides, I noticed Ansys Redhawk SC allows for placing virtual probes at arbitrary locations for voltage measurements in the layout. Is there any similar feature in the Cadence environment?

This is my first post here. I am using Joules 21,14 to perform RTL power estimation on a RISC-V CPU. I have produced an FSDB file using VCS 2019 that is 230MB (~400.000 simulation cycles @ 690MHz). Even when using the multi_host_read option with 16 threads it takes Joules 1 hour and 10 minutes to just read the file. Does this seem normal ? If so is there a way to speed this up ?
